Professional Development topics are chosen based on data and needs within the population with teacher input and support.Having those professionals who are in the classrooms (paras and support staff) in on the conversations and planning to help with being heard.  Some feel they just make it through the day rather than help to move forward.
Using teacher and faculty input, the new MTSS process has been updated to be more effective and efficient.Continue to refine the SIOP processes.  Very evident in some rooms and lacking in others.
Professional learning is based upon the present population while also looking toward the future to evaluate what is coming next due to major growth within the community. In the student and staff  focus groups there were statements made that the ELL is expanding. However, there are still struggles with moving too fast, checking for understanding, reteaching, or explaining in a variety of ways to meet students’ learning needs as a whole.
Formalize and publicize the MTSS process.  How do the students get recognized and  how do they exit the process?
