Leadership and Vision – SSR Findings

Strength AreasGrowth Areas
CTE programs are strong and promising and as long as the funding stays, it feels like they could take off and do some great things for your district and community. CTE appears to be empowering student leaders.Resources/information on mental health/emotional regulation did not appear to be readily available and/or was not easily observed in any of the schools. Resources also seem to be more accessible in the secondary buildings and are not as visible in primary/elementary regarding community involvement.
It is obvious from focus groups, observations, and conversations that the staff, students, and community feel supported and know that their input is valued by their leadership. While the staff appreciates the opportunity to innovate, the adoption of strategies and the establishment and following of clear routines, particularly within buildings / grade bands,  may provide an opportunity to move to evidence of impact.

Key stakeholders seem ready and willing to better understand how S-CAP feedback connects to improvement planning/decision making regarding district priorities and initiatives so that they can effectively support those efforts from their roles, whether parents, students, or community members.
As it is stated in their vision statement, it is clear that their facilities, interactions, and relationships do in fact put students first.
