Vertical alignment of curriculum is clearly  articulated at the elementary level, however it is not as readily apparent at the secondary level.
Scaffolding was not always observable.
Regarding instruction, students were consistently engaged in the lesson, able to articulate what they were doing and how new learning connects to prior knowledge. There appears to be opportunity to build upon current momentum with the new curriculum and continuing to strengthen the instruction.
The teachers were prepared for the day and were knowledgeable about their content area. Teachers consistently used proximity and active supervision while students were working or had questions about the work they had.
